Part 127: Let's Learn Jobs: Knight
Let's Learn Jobs: KnightThe Knight job is focused on physical defense and the protection of allies, with the downside of low aptitude for magic and slower speed.
As with other early-game jobs, Bravely Default's Knight is similar to Knight/Paladin jobs in other games. Though no healing is included in this version of the Knight, a decent mind stat allows the Knight to do decently with healing magic as job command.
Icons for the job are a suit of plate armor and a sword with a shield, the simple yet effective tools of the job.
High vitality and full use of heavy armor are the Knight's real strengths, making them overall a solid defensive choice.
Blue are support abilities, red are skill abilities.

Several ways to increase defense and/or protect allies, a couple Lore abilities, plus the potentially powerful abilities Dual Shields and Super Charge.
A classic knight ability, this can be quite helpful during damage-heavy battles.
Both the men and women are wearing pieces of Western plate armor, including pauldrons, gauntlets, tassets (attached to...the belt?), greaves, and sabatons. The guys are wearing blank white tabards and capes, with mail under what appears to be brigandines. The gals wear the ever-awkward and impractical bikini plate armor top, though this time with a cloth underlayer providing minimal protection (except Edea's thighs).
